The architect John LoRomer had an office in the Labbe Building in 1885. (See R.L. Polk and Company's Portland, Oregon, City Directory, 1885, p. 522.)

The Portland and Coast Steamship Company had its office in the Labbe Building in 1896. F.R. Strong was its local assignee. (See Portland, Oregon, City Directory, 1896, p. 521.)
