Building History
This version of the Occidental Hotel stood on the corner of Cherry Street and 3rd Avenue in Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood in 1901. In that year, A.A. Seagrave managed the Occidental Hotel #4. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1901, p. 890.)
Demolition
The Occidental Hotel and the New York Block were razed c. 1920 to make way for the Dexter Horton Building (1923) that stretched the full block between 2nd and 3rd Avenues on the north side of Cherry Street.
