This building was erected on the shore of the Willamette River and moved in 1910. According to the University of Oregon, Portland: "White Stag and Hirsch-Weiss Building is moved across the street to its current location at Northwest Naito Parkway and West Burnside Street." (See University of Oregon, Portland.edu, "White Stag Block Historical Timeline," accessed 08/29/2018.)
The Hirsch-Weiss Building was originally erected with four floors. A fifth was added in 1925-1926.
Between 2006 and 2008, the real estate development company, Venerable Group, Incorporated, rehabilitated and merged the adjacent Hirsch-Weis, Bickel, and Skidmore Buildings into a single holding that they renamed the "White Stag Building."
