Building History
This important point along the Southern Pacific Railroad was built c. 1888, following a fire that destroyed the first station in Lang the year before. The town sat strategically on the north side of the San Gabriel mountain range, just before Southern Pacific trains entered a 6,980-foot-long tunnel completed 1876. This second station lasted less than one year.
Demolition
The Southern Pacific Railroad Lang Station #2 burned on 08/14/1888.
