R.L. Polk and Company's Seattle City Directory, 1889, (p. 385) listed the Saint Paul Lodging House as operating on the west side alley between Washington and Commercial, Railroad ave and Main.

Overview

This hotel, operated by Henry Schmidt, stood near the waterfront docks and a railroad station for the Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern Railway in 1889. (See R.L. Polk and Company's Seattle City Directory, 1889, p. 385.)

Building Notes

Charles Emerson managed the Saint Paul Restaurant that operated nearby to the hotel on the north side of Washington Street between South 2nd and 3rd Avenues in 1889. (See R.L. Polk and Company's Seattle City Directory, 1889, p. 385.)

Demolition

The Saint Paul Lodging House and Restaurant were gutted in the Seattle Fire of 06/06/1889.
