Building History
In the planning stages, this apartment tower ranged in height from seven stories, to 25 stories, then back down to 8 stories. The developer was Wilshire Capital Partners of Los Angeles, CA. They engaged VIA Architecture, Incorporated to design the variously-sized building and Synergy Construction, Incorporated of Woodinville, WA. As envisioned in 2016, they hoped to build a building with 91 units, 50 spots of underground parking, and 3,000 square feet of first-floor commercial space. (It would eventually build 98 units, with space for 53 cars, and 2,588 square feet of commercial space.) Wilshire Capital Partners also developed two previous buildings in Seattle, including a 7-story apartment building at 525 Boren Avenue North and a 26-story apartment building at 427 Ninth Avenue North. The other two buildings were also designed by VIA Architecture; Synergy Construction served as the building contractor for 525 Boren, as well.
Building Notes
The City of Seattle Department of Planning and Development issued a master use permit for 403 Dexter Avenue North on 04/13/2016.
The building replaced a one-story commercial building that stood on the northwest corner of Dexter Avenue North and North Harrison Street.
