Building History
An item in the Seattle Times of 07/02/3008 reported: "The Snoqualmie River under the old Tolt Bridge west of Carnation will remain closed to all boats and recreational users over the Fourth of July holiday weekend and until July 17. During the closure, King County's road-services division will be dismantling the old bridge. A county spokesman said the river is closed to protect the public from falling debris and to give work crews sufficient space to work. The river was closed on Tuesday. A large barge is on the river under the old bridge and low-hanging cables are strung across the river during the demolition." (See Seattle Times, "River under bridge to remain off-limits," 07/02/2008, p. B3.)
