Building Notes

In the early 1920s, Boos Cafeterias would schedule musical performances by their own in-house orchestra for the benefit of patrons. This orchestra would also play concerts on the radio KHJ. (See "Cafeteria Jazz Has Fine Savor," Los Angeles Times, 05/24/1923, part II, p. 3.)

Demolition

The building that housed Boos Brothers' Cafeteria at 321 West 5th Street was razed. In 2018, this parcel was vacant.
