Overview

This large, Colonial Revival Style residence has stood in the Washington Park neighborhood of Seattle, WA, since 1928. It was a 2 and 1/2-story building, composed of two rectangular boxes. The main wing stood to the south, while a slightly lower, recessed north wing housed a family room on floor one, and bedrooms above. Both volumes were topped by gable roofs. The attic was lit by three gabled dormers on the main volume, while the lower wing had two gabled attic dormers. A timber-frame house, it contained 4,680 square feet of living space, with 6 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths according to King County Asssessor records in 2018. The lot was an ample 10,200 square feet (0.23 acres).

Building Notes

The building had a 400-square-foot garage, basement (1,080 square feet), and useful attic floor (440 square feet). The first floor consisted of a living room, dining room, den, kitchen and family room. The last room was in an appended wing to the north. In c. 2015, a pergola stood on the south side of the front yard.
