Overview

The Portland architectural firm of Zaik-Miller Architects designed a 1968 addition to the Timberline Lodge. When the manager of the Timberline Lodge, Richard Kohnstamm (1926-2006), sought to expand the hotel's facilities to accommodate conferences and large meetings, he invited proposals for a new conference center and day lodge. Zaik-Miller produced this design for a day lodge that remained unbuilt due to cost.
