The Charles Cuff Valley Center House is located at an elevation of 550 meters above sea level approximately 70 km northeast of San Diego, CA;

Construction: 1998; house built for UCLA Architecture Professor Dana Cuff's father, Charles Cuff, Kevin Daly's father-in-law; Daly-Genik awarded an AIA/Los Angeles Honor Award in 1999 for the Charles Cuff House; Charles Cuff is a second generation citrus rancher; the house and grounds were sited on the western foothills of Mount Palomar, to prevent frost damage to citrus trees; extensive use of metal screens on the exterior were meant to protect this residence from future wildfires; the house contains 265 square meters and is located 550 meters above sea level;

Previous Charles Cuff House was destroyed by wildfire in 11/1996;
