Overview
The important Seattle architect William E. Boone designed this two-floor, wood-frame residence across the street from site on which the King County Courthouse #2would be constructed six years later. Boone and his wife Mercie resided in this house from 1885 until c. 1905. During the later period of this tenure, Boone's mother-in-law and sister-in-law lived in the household as well. They maintained one servant in the house for some of the time, at least.
Building Notes
Erected on a hill overlooking the city, the Boone House also would have had a fine view of Elliott Bay.
