Overview
The President of the Producers Savings Bank in Bakersfield, CA, William S. Tevis, Sr., lived with his wife and four sons in the Stockdale district of Bakersfield, CA, in 1900. His KY-born father, Lloyd Tevis (1824-1899), was a 49er in CA, and worked as the first President of the Wells Fargo and Company Bank. Lloyd Tevis died with an estate valued at about $30 million.

Banker William Sanders Tevis, Sr., (born c. 08/1863 in CA-d. 08/03/1943 in San Mateo County, CA), his wife, Mabel Pacheco, (born c. 08/1863 in CA-d. 1921).
Mabel was the daughter of Governor Romualdo Pacheco (1831-1899) who served a number of political offices in early Anglo CA government, including as State Treasurer (1863-1867), Lieutenant Governor (1871-1875) and Governor (02/27/1875-12/09/1875). From at least 1930 until 1940, Tevis, Sr., resided at 1222 Oak Grove Avenue in Burlingame, CA. Building Notes
William S. Tevis, Jr., would become the President of the Tevis Land and Livestock Company. Aside from three trips to Europe between 1900-1918, Tevis resided his whole life in CA, in Bakersfield, Burlingame and San Francisco. It appears that the Tevis Family had investments in Mexico as well as the US.
