Building History

The Requena Building was finished by mid-1875. An article in the Los Angeles Daily Herald stated: "Requena's block on Los Angeles street is nearly finished."
(See "Local Brevities," Los Angeles Daily Herald, vol. IV, no. 73, 06/19/1875, p. 3.) Another published the following month said: "Mr. Requena's new block on Los Angeles street, was receiving a finishing touch of plaster yesterday."
