Building History

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco contracted with architect Thomas J. Welsh to design this church in 1880. The American Architect and Building News stated of this commission: "Church--Mr. T.J. Welsh is the architect of the new Catholic Church; cost $10,000."
