Overview

This was at least the second hotel to operate in San Francisco, CA, under the name, "Grand Hotel." (See "Grand Hotel Ad," Federal Telegraph Company Radio News, distributed aboard the S.S. Sonoma, a Matson Line ship, 09/27/1916, p. 1.) The first was in business at Market Street and New Montgomery Street c. 1882.
