Overview

The 200-room Hotel Fresno operated at 447 Eddy Street in San Francisco c. 1916. ("Hotel Fresno Ad,"Federal Telegraph Company Radio News, distributed aboard the S.S. Sonoma, a Matson Line ship, 09/27/1916, p. 1.) S.B. Bankson was its manager in 1916. The Hotel Fresno was located in a neighborhood filled with relatively small, affordable hotels at this time. The Hotel Leo, for example, was just across the street at 410 Eddy Street.
