Overview

The Oregon Territorial Legislature met in the three-story Holman Building in Salem, OR, as well as the Nesmith Building across the street between 1857 and 1876. The House met in quarters on the Holman Building's second floor, the Senate in rooms on the third. Following its use as a legislative center, the building was transformed into the Commercial Hotel.
