Overview
This store, constructed in the 1960s, was an example of the "Marina Safeway" model, developed by the San Francisco architectural firm, Wurster, Bernardi and Emmons in 1959. It had a shallow arched roof and glass window-wall on the main facade, with entry on one end.
Building History
An Office Depot at one time occupied this facility at 5710 196th Street SW. In 2017, a Big Lots! store occupied this former Safeway supermarket building.
