Overview
The Los Angeles Herald said of the H.D. Lombard House in its issue of 09/29/1901: "On lots 17 and 18, in St. James park, H.D. Lombard will erect a two-story residence to cost $3400. A.B. Benton is the architect; Goss & Dwight the contractors." (See "Building Operations, Los Angeles Herald, vol. XXVIIII, no. 364, 09/29/1901, p. 9.)
