Overview
Architect Ralph A. Vaughn (1907-2000) designed the Oyster House Restaurant in 1956. It featured live Maine lobster, Blue Point oysters, Pompano en papilotte, and Ipswich clams. The restaurant, along with the Captain's Table, composed a restaurant row on this section of La Cienega Boulevard after World War II. The Oyster House closed many years ago, and its site was later occupied by a Fig and Olive Restuarant.
