Overview
This early automobile dealership was in buisiness at Broadway and Madison Street in 1905. The Broadway Automobile Company was one of the first of many automobile dealerships, parts stores and garages that would cluster in Capitol Hill during the 1900s-1920s. M.P. Benton served as president, Edward W. Herald, Secretary and Treasurer, and A.M. Jennings, manager in 1905. (SeePolk's Seattle Directory Company's Seattle City Directory, 1905, p. 278.)
