The University District Herald described the New Enterprise Building still under construction: "The building is to be a one-story brick structure with terra-cotta tile trimmings and a cement foundation and will cost approximately $15,000. There will be four store rooms fronting on University Way and two store rooms fronting on Forty-third avenue. The corner room will be occupied by a drug store, with a floral shop, millinery, men's haberdashery and an electrical supply shop occupying four other rooms. Mortensen and Kelton, Inc., are the contractors and J.R. Nevins is the architect." (See "To Complete New Building in Month," University District Herald, 10/28/1921, p. 1.)
