Overview
Equipped with a butterfly roof, 12-foot ceilings, clerestory windows and glass walls, pergola-covered walkway and swimming pool, this residence by Marsh, Smith and Powell embodied the Modern, indoor-outdoor lifestyle popularized in Southern CA during the 1950s. A large brick fireplace/room divider, that did not rise to the full ceiling height, separated the living and dining rooms, enabling light to pass between the spaces.
