Overview
The prolific Southern CA movie theatre architect, Clifford A. Balch (1880-1963), designed the 500-seat Arvin Theatre in 1937. The building lasted only two years before burning down. Balch's son William Glenn (1901-1989), worked with Louis Bryan on another 650-seat theatre in Arvin, opened in 1949.
