Building Notes
The Sentous Street School was shaped like two capital Es placed back to back. The front facade had five bays, the central (third) one projecting out from the others. The second and fourth bays recessed slightly. At the second and fourth bays, entry was gained into the school via doors recessed under two three-arched arcades. The first floor fenestration of bays one, three and five had pairs of triple windows, all trabeated. The second floors of these bays had the same triplet windows with arched tops. The first, third, and fifth bays had hipped roofs. The second and fourth bays sported towers with pyramidal hipped roofs. The eaves line of all bays had distinct corbeling.
