Overview
Newell commissioned two houses from the firm of Preston and Seehorn in 1903. As the Los Angeles Herald reported in that year: "T.N. Newell, Nos. 1421 and 1421 1/2 Georgia street, two-story flats, two flats of five rooms each, $4,000; Preston & Seehorn, architects; Brown and Alcora, contractors."
