Overview
The San Francisco architectural firm of Martens and Coffey entered a design in the 1907 competition for a new San Mateo County Courthouse. Other competing firms included the firms of McDonald and Dean, Normond W. Mohr, Will D. Shea, Preston and Seehorn, and the eventual winner, Glenn Allen. Only Preston and Seehorn, a Los Angeles firm, was not headquartered in San Francisco, CA.
