Building History
The Hotel Mount Lassen has stood in Downtown Susanville, CA, since 1926. It was designed to be earthquake-resistant, having walls made of reinforced concrete, 11-inches thick. Originally the hotel contained 60 rooms and cost in excess of $300,000 to erect. In 2017, it had 50 hotel rooms, 6 commercial storefronts and three meeting rooms. It also contained space for two restaurants and a bar.
