As its 1861 advertisement in the San Francisco City Directory, 1861, (p. ii) stated, W.H. Keith and Company sold chemicals, trusses, surgical and dental instruments, toiletries, brushes, soaps and perfumes. They were the San Francisco vendors of Burnett's Cod Liver Oil, Lubin's Extracts, Farina Cologne, Oriental Tooth Wash, Kalliston Cocoaine and Flavoring Extracts, Jones, White and McCurdy's Gold Foil and Teeth, Abbey's Gold Foil, and Marsh's Radical Cure, among other products.
