Overview

The Peoples Bank and Trust Company was one of the few large banks operating in Seattle in 1935 that did not maintain its main operations on 2nd Avenue. A handful of others maintained their locatiions nearby, including the Sumitomo Bank of Seattle at 802 3rd Avenue, the Yokohama Specie Bank, Ltd., at 822 3rd Avenue, and the Central Branch of the National Bank of Commerce at 5th Avenue and Westlake Avenue.
