Overview

In 1925, the Rucker-Fuller Desk Company was the San Francisco dealer for Shaw-Walker Filing Devices. (See San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1925, p. 1683.) The Shaw-Walker Company, founded in 03/1899 by L.C. Walker and A.W. Shaw in Muskegon, MI, had become a national leader in office filing cabinets and seating by the mid-1920s. It operated independently until 1989 whenWestinghouse Furniture Systems of Grand Rapids, MI, purchased it.
