Building History
In 1891, Frederick F. Low and Ignatz Steinhart managed this branch of the Anglo-Californian Bank, Ltd. Philip N. Lilienthat served as cashier, with A.L. Seligman, Assistant Cashier. Prior to this, in 1877, the Anglo-Californian Bank, Limited had its San Francisco office at 422 California Street. (See Langley's San Francisco Directory for the Year 1877, p. xi.)
