According to the City of Long Beach, the Anna R. Brown House was the oldest existing building on Ocean Avenue c. 2010; seeAccessed 05/25/2010.

The Brown House had a cross-gabled roof and wood siding. On the front facade, the most apparent features were the large street-facing dormer resting above an inset covered porch. The porch sheltered the main entry.
