Overview
The Saint Ann's Building operated an as office building in San Francisco, CA, c. 1883. It was situated on the northwest corner of Powell and Eddy Streets. (See San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1883, p. 973.)
Building Notes
In 1883, two architectural firms had their offices in it, Cleaveland and Swain (Room #70) and E. A. Hatherton (Room #33).
Herman Schaffner, grand keeper of records and seal of the Knights of Pythias Grand Lodge, maintained an office in Room #70 of the Saint Ann's Building. (See Crocker-Langley San Francisco Directory, 1899, p. 990.)
Demolition
Saint Ann's Building was destroyed in the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 04/18-19/1906. In 2021, the Bank of America Financial Center occupied the building at 1 Powell Street.
