Building History
Samuel M. Gehr (1901-1974) financed the Tahquitz Vista Apartments completed c. 1930. He sold what the Desert Sun newspaper called in 1935 "one of the finest apartment houses of Palm Springs" shortly after, c. 1933. In 1935, L.M. Rotham's Pacific Stores, Incorporated, bought the property. (See "Taquitz Vista Apartments Sold to Pacific Stores," Desert Sun of Palm Springs, California, no. 33, 03/22/1935, n.p.)
