The Garden City Bank and Trust Company's first headquarters occupied the northwest corner of 1st and San Fernando Streets in Downtown San Jose.

Overview

Dr. C. W. Breyfogle founded the Garden City Bank and Trust Company in 1887. He served as its first president unitl his death in 1914. Thomas F. Morrison served as the bank's first cashier. The bank moved to a new seven-story office building on the southwest-corner of 1st and San Fernando Streets in 1906.
