Overview
Architect Myron Hunt (1868-1952) had a long association with the George Junior Republic in Chino Hills, beginning with his involvement in laying out its campus plan in 1911. Over the years, he designed many of the individual dormitories and assembly spaces here, the Fowler Auditorium of 1939 being one of the last. Hunt's second wife, Virginia Pease, also was deeply involved in the operation of the organization, serving on as a founding member of its board of directors.
