Overview
In 1914, Samuel Curtis Pinkham (1870-1935) opened this store after splitting with his business partner in the first Sterling Drug Store at 609 State that they founded in 1902. This store, occupying the first floor of the San Marcos Building, operated from 1914 until 1936. Pinkham sold the business to I.S. Pladson and Joseph Falkenstein in 1928, who kept it in the same location for 8 years before moving across the street to 1118 State.
