Overview
Completed as a New Deal public housing project just before World War II, Harbor Hills, in Lomita, CA, had several notable architectural firms as designers, including Reginald D. Johnson, Clarence S. Stein, Donald B. Parkinson, A.C. Zimmerman, Lewis E. Wilson, and Eugene Weston, Jr. It contained approximately 300 units and served as war housing for the stevedores and shipbuilders working at facilities in the nearby port at San Pedro.
