Overview
Stage and film comedienne Fanny Brice (née Fanny Borach, 1891-1959) had architect John Elgin Woolf (1908-1980), a leading interpreter of the Hollywood Regency Style, to design her residence.
Demolition
A couple, Richard and Lauren King, bought the Brice property for $15 million with the intention of renovating it. They changed course, however, and demolished the mansion, rebuilding a Georgian Revival residence in its place in 2006.
