Overview

Designed by the San Francsico architectural firm of Clausen and Amandes, this Jacobethan apartment house was completed in 1927. Three stories in height, it contained two apartments, each occupying half of that floor. An apartment, unit #5, had a value of approximately $2.4 million in 04/2016.

Building Notes

This brick-faced apartment house had a front elevation with seven bays. Bays 1, 3, 5 and 7 were composed of bay windows, each featuring Jacobean/Elizabethan ornamentation on their spandrels. Entry was through bay 4, in the center, under a segmental arch trimmed either in store or concrete to resemble stone. A basement story was lit by tall, thin fixed windows, trimmed with irregular configurations of quoins.
