An early name for this school was the "Belvedere Gardens High School." (See Southwest Builder and Contractor, 07/04/1924, p. 50.)
Alteration
In 1924, Los Angeles architect George M. Lindsey (1891-1973) produced plans for several additional facilities at Garfield High School, including a 20-room administrative building, mechanical arts building, home economics building, classrooms for the domestic science program, cafeteria and gymnasium.
