Overview

In 1908, Professor Andrew Cowper Lawson (1861-1952) and his wife, Ludovilia Von Jantof (b. 08/1862 in Hungary), resided in and operated the Oxford Apartments on the northwest corner of Allston Way and Oxford Street, (See Oakland City Directory, 1908, p. 1350.) They also had a residence designed by Bernard Maybeck built in the Berkeley Hills at 1515 La Loma Avenue built in 1906-1907.
