Overview
This transitional Queen Anne/Neo-Classical Style residence on the northeast corner of Page Street and Shrader Avenue was erected in 1900. It stood on the site of an earlier house that had been owned by James Leary Flood (1857-1926), son of the Silver King and banker, James Clair Flood (1826-1889). It looks to have been a single-family residence when built, but was subdivided into 12 units subsequentlly.
Building Notes
The residence, according to the City and County of San Francisco Assessor's Property Information Map, occupied a 4,600-square-foot parcel.
Alteration
Significant alterations occurred when the house was transformed from a single-family dwelling into a apartment house.
