Overview

James Leary Flood (1857-1926) and his first wife, Marie Rosina Fritz Flood (1862-1898), purchased this vacation residence c. 1894. Alma, a town near Los Gatos, CA, formerly was an important logging and rail stop, but its population declined after World War II. The townsite was submerged with the creation of the Lexington Reservoir in 1952.
