Building History

Boyle Heights residents staffed the library from 1889-1905; in 1899, the facility was taken over by the Los Angeles Library Association as its first delivery station in the Boyle Heights Drug Store; the Los Angeles Library Association moved the library location to a store room at 1964 Eat First Street in 1905.
