The Hotel Savoy #1 stood on the west side of 1st Avenue, across the street from Pioneer Square.

Overview

The Hotel Savoy #1, located in a commercial building at 625 1st Avenue on Pioneer Square, operated from at least 1899 until c. 1904. A larger hotel by the same name opened farther north at 1220 2nd Avenue by about 1906. In 1899, the Savoy placed a classified ad in the Seattle Times: "Hotel Savoy 625 First Avenue. Rooms 50c to $1. Strictly first class. Modern conveniences." (See "Hotel Savoy classified ad," Seattle Times, 08/05/1899, p.10.)

Demolition

The Hotel Savoy #1 no longer operated at this address after c. 1906.
