The San Francisco Store was located on the southwest corner of Commercial Street (1st Avenue South) and Washington Street.

Overview

Located in the Marshall Building, this retail space accommodated the Toklas, Singerman and Company menswear store from about 1882 until 1887. The Seattle City Directory of 1885 (p. 141) indicated that Toklas and Singerman's store was called the "San Francisco Store."

Demolished

This building burned in the Seattle Fire of 1889. The J and H Hotel of 1889 (which included the J and M Cafe and Cardroom) later replaced it on this site.
