Building History

The Patrick Brothers of Vancouver, and their business associates, commissioned the construction of this Seattle ice rink. The Daily Building Record, published in Vancouver, 06/16/1914 reported: "The contract for the 145x260 reinf. conc. ice skating rink at 14th ave and Jefferson st in Seattle, has been awarded to the Manhattan Co., Central bldg, Seattle, to cost $150,000. The structure is being erected for the Patrick Bros., of Vancouver, and associates." (See "Contract for Seattle Arena Has Been Let," Daily Building Record, 06/06/1914, vol. 6, no. 153. p.1.)
